You will be actively involved in advanced procedures such as ACL TPLO, Arthroscopy, Patellar Luxation, Elbow and Hip Dysplasia repair, Fracture Repair, and Gait Analysis. Our surgeons have extensive training, including PhD research in canine hip replacement, and utilize state-of-the-art diagnostics and techniques like 3D printing and virtual surgery to plan and execute complex cases. Your Impact as a Veterinary Assistant
- Assisting Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians with all aspects of animal care, including laboratory tests and
diagnostic imaging (radiography, future CT scanning)
Animal restraint/holding for placement of IV catheters, blood draws, etc
Cleaning and stocking throughout the hospital
Filling Prescriptions
Walking/Companion Care for hospitalized patients
Maintain reliable and predictable attendance
Perform other tasks assigned by management
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
- Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks
- Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
- Must be able to lift and restrain pets of at least 50 pounds and to 75 pounds, and work on feet most of the day.
- Must be able to interact with and be around all pets that we provide care to
