Overview:
The Resident Services Coordinator provides daily oversight and support of resident care staff to provide residents with a vibrant living experience. You will set a positive example for others to follow while leading, directing, and working alongside the team to provide engaging personal care services, medication management/assistance, support and companionship for residents. You will work closely with the Wellspring Village Director in leading day-to-day operations of the department.
Responsibilities:
While this role has no direct reports, the Resident Services Coordinator acts in a lead capacity under the Direction of the Wellspring Village Director or Assisted Living Director. When participating in lead responsibilities such as training associates; planning, assigning, and directing the work of associates; s/he carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with BVSL policies and applicable laws.
- Consistently and genuinely demonstrates the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, and mobility, as directed by their individual service plans.
- Where properly certified, may administer medications as needed, in strict accordance with both internal and external protocols and regulations.
- Leads the training and mentoring of co-workers and the orientation of new resident care associates.
- Serves as the lead of department and/or community in the absence of a Director or Nurse.
- Assists in creating and managing schedules and coverage for the department; fills in for shift callouts as needed.
- Monitors to ensure even distribution of workload.
- Manages the community continence program, ensures availability of adequate supplies and monitors resident charges when products are utilized.
- Manages inventory of supplies used in resident care, ensuring appropriate availability while exercising prudent expense controls.
- Assists with new hire orientation and provides input into associates’ annual reviews.
- Spot checks Medication, Treatment and Service plan sign-off sheets for accuracy and complete documentation.
- Initiates incident or accident reports and reports them to the Wellspring Village Director, Assisted Living Director, and/or Health Services Director or Manager on Duty.
- Monitors changes in residents’ functional status and personal care needs; documents observations and advise supervisors and/or clinical staff as appropriate.
- Assists in the development and updating of Resident Service Plans.
- Chaperones activities outside the community as needed.
- Monitors the community and takes appropriate action to keep the environment safe, clean, and attractive for residents, guests, and co-workers, by completing safety rounds, in apartments and courtyard daily.
- Participates in and attend all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary range: USD $24.50 - USD $28.25 /Hr.

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification and a minimum of three years’ experience in a senior care role or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant, Medication Technician, Medication Assistant, or other State approved, or State required training. First Aid and CPR certified.
- Ability to function as a team leader, directing the work of others, as well as work as an individual contributor in a team environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a broad range of associates, residents, family members, and third-party partners.
- Solid written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
- Ability to apply reason, logic, and problem-solving skills to resolve challenging issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer orientation to older adults.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
