Purpose
A skilled, proactive, detail-oriented technologist who supports efforts to improve production equipment reliability and operational performance. Works with Maintenance and Plant Engineers to implement maintenance strategies, gather data, and apply methods to help reduce downtime and maintain efficiency. Contributes to reliability initiatives by developing procedures and providing technical support, ensuring consistent execution of engineering-driven plans.
Job Description
- Support maintenance on complex repair issues.
- Provide documentation and suggest training to enhance workforce capabilities.
- Investigate alternatives to high-cost wear items and repair parts, including substitutions, new materials, and methods.
- Support root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
- Implement and support predictive technologies to reduce unplanned downtime, including procedures and documentation.
- Optimize and recommend preventative maintenance programs, ensuring correct tasks and frequencies are documented and followed.
- Assist engineering with equipment modifications, new designs, and capital project justifications.
- Champion and educate benefits of predictive maintenance across multiple technical and operational departments.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology Degree in related field w/ 5+ years related experience.
- 5-10 years of experience with manufacturing equipment, with a focus on maintenance and reliability.
- Experience in industrial environments.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Proficiency in reliability tools and methodologies.
- Strong data analysis skills using tools like Excel, Power BI, or statistical software.
- Ability to interpret failure data and develop actionable insights.
- Skilled in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience in planning and executing reliability improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.
- Capable of communicating technical findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Production, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
