Trauma Response Team Registered Nurse
Location: Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, NC
Shift - PRN
This Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care. Clinical nurses working in any unit of Nursing Services must have the ability to provide care to patients from the neonate through the geriatric years. A Registered Nurse responsible for the provision of clinical nursing care to trauma patients during all aspects of their care. Works collaboratively with various departments of the hospital, assists with process improvement and injury prevention strategies and trauma registry data entry and abstraction Collaborates with the Trauma Services Team to ensure optimal patient care throughout the entire spectrum of care.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years prior experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care and/or Trauma depts, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required. TNCC required within 90 days of hire, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Demonstrates proficient oral and written communication skills. Complies with mandatory regulatory and credentialing requirements and participates in continuous improvement activities as assigned in an effort to ensure health care service quality.
