Position Summary:The Pediatric Registered Dietitian II will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nutritional care for our inpatient population, including critical care patients. This role includes evaluation of medical, biochemical, and nutritional information, development of individualized nutrition support plans, and providing mentorship to dietetic technicians. The ideal candidate will have clinical expertise in critical care nutrition and the ability to collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to support medically complex patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nutritional care to inpatient populations.
- Perform detailed assessments of patient needs through medical, biochemical, and nutritional evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition support and nutrition care plans for inpatient populations, including critically ill and medically complex patients.
- Assist in supervising, mentoring, and supporting the daily work of dietetic technicians.
- Participate in staff education, interdisciplinary training and supervision of dietetic interns.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts, departmental projects, and research activities as appropriate.
Qualifications - Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition.
- Minimum of 3+ years of progressive Dietetics experience, including at least 2 years in pediatric nutrition.
- Certifications & Licensure:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Current Massachusetts Dietitian license.
- CNSC highly preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills to address complex clinical challenges.
- Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Well-developed writing ability for documentation and communication.
- Spanish language skills a plus.
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
