Los Gatos Dog & Cat Hospital is growing and we are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to help support our surgery schedule! This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

In this role, you will:

Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental prophy, radiographs and extractions.
Ensure an efficient surgical and procedural workflow, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients.
Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about anesthesia and are ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability required on Saturdays. Shifts are typically scheduled from 8am-6pm.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

Compensation: $34-38 per hour, for each hour worked*
Bonus package: $2000
CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Current Registered Veterinary Technician License in the state of California
Proficiency in the following skills:
- Venipuncture and cystocentesis
- Placing IV catheters and administering injections
- Anesthetic monitoring
- Dental prophy and radiographs
- In house lab processing and microscopy
