Position Overview

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, restorations, and extractions
Diagnose and treat oral health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, preventive care, and nutrition
Manage patient behavior using age-appropriate communication and behavior guidance techniques
Administer local anesthesia and sedation as appropriate and in compliance with regulations
Maintain accurate and timely patient records
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Refer patients to specialists when necessary
Stay current with continuing education and advancements in pediatric dentistry

Qualifications

DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program
Active dental license in SC
Current CPR/BLS (and PALS if required by practice or state regulations
