POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Outcomes Specialist is a Masters’ or Doctoral prepared Registered Nurse who functions as a resource to nurses and patients to improve quality care outcomes within the healthcare organization. The COS works within the Department of Clinical Excellence to facilitate evidence-based practice implementation, positively influencing nursing care delivery. Using a data-driven approach, the COS leads sustainable change to elevate nursing professional practice and ensure seamless, quality patient care across the continuum. The COS applies influence across the three spheres of patient/family, staff, and system to transform healthcare delivery.
*This is a Part-Time position that will be scheduled for 24 hours a week.*
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree required; MSN with Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification preferred, or eligibility to sit for CNS exam.
- 5-7 years of relevant acute care experience
- American Heart Association BLS
- Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Experience with Psychiatric patients a plus
