The Clinical Manager RN provides innovative leadership to maximize the department’s contribution to overall hospital performance through effective planning as well as human and financial resource management which result in quality outcomes in line with financial goals of the institution. Provides for the delivery of care to a group of patients and evaluates the multi-disciplinary care in a systematic fashion, in order to improve outcomes. The care is delivered within the framework of hospital philosophy in concert with departments and services within the hospital. Responsible for assuring hospital compliance with all local, state and federal regulations as well as accrediting organizations.
Responsibilities- Assumes accountability for the delivery of patient care on assigned areas.
- Responsible for effective staffing management of labor/productivity as well as flexing teammates appropriately
- Serves as a hospital/community expert/resource for their specialty area.
- Utilizes effective communication with all members of the healthcare team to coordinate quality improvement efforts.
- Ability to maintain high level of collaboration and communication through team meetings and daily huddles via in-person, electronic or written format
- Provides immediate mentoring/coaching to teammates as needed
- Maintains a collegial relationship with physicians to ensure quality patient care
- Develops and maintains up-to-date policies and procedures for the department
- Maintains current knowledge of and ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards of care
- Plans and implements procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
QualificationsEducation:
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in the Preop/PACU
- 1-2 years of Management or team leader experience

Certification and Licensure:
- Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in the State of Texas.
- BLS Required
- ACLS and PALS preferred
- National Certification in Surgical Services or Management preferred
