Position Summary: Under the supervision of the RN provides age-appropriate care. Unifed by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. Tasks Include, but are not Limited to:
- Provides care and assists patients in performing activities of daily living while optimizing autonomy and independence.
- Responds to and actively participates in emergency codes.
- Performs technical skills including initiation of IV’s, phlebotomy(excluding blood cultures), EKG’s, foley catheter insertion, maintenance and removal of catheters and dressing changes using aseptic technique.
- Assists in preparation for new admission, transfer and discharge of patient.
- Provides safe, effective and efficient care to assigned group of patients.
- Tranports with the RN, patients to the Critical Care Units
Requirements:
- GNA /CNA certificate from the MD Board of Nursing
- Hospital orientation/training program
- American Heart Assoc. Health Care Provider Cert.
- At least 6 months of experience.
Pay Range: $17 - $26, based on experience
