JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction of the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant (MA) provides day-to-day administrative, direct patient care and clinical support to the Ambulatory Services department through administrative and medical/nursing support. The MA must have the ability to take adult and pediatric basic vital signs including height and weight, blood pressure, visual acuity, color vision, and draw blood accurately. They must be able to document information in the electronic health record. The individual performing this job routinely interacts with administrative, medical staff, other LBH departmental staff and patients.
REQUIREMENTS:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Must have current/valid Maryland Certified or Registered Medical Assistant Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, to include verbal and written communications, interpersonal relations aptitude, and a professions approach to the execution of all assignments.
