About the Position
Our client is seeking a dependable CDL A Delivery Driver for a local, on-site delivery opportunity in Millbury, Massachusetts. This role focuses on food deliveries to restaurants, hospitals, schools, and offices throughout New England. The position is temp-to-perm and offers consistent support through TransForce.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $300 per day
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday through Saturday; Saturday work will rotate once fully staffed
- Start Time: 4:30 a.m.
- Employment Type: Temp-to-perm
Job Details
- Route Type: Local delivery route
- Freight: Ambient, refrigerated, and frozen food products
- Delivery Locations: Restaurants, hospitals, schools, and offices
- Equipment: Automatic tractors with 28- to 35-foot trailers
- Handling: Heavy-touch deliveries using a hand truck, hand cart, or pallet jack
- Average Stops: 10 to 14 stops per day
- Delivery Conditions: Unloading may involve stairs and basement access
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL A tractor-trailer safely on local delivery routes throughout New England.
- Deliver food products to restaurants, hospitals, schools, offices, and other customer locations.
- Safely load, unload, and handle ambient, refrigerated, and frozen products.
- Use hand trucks, hand carts, and pallet jacks to complete deliveries.
- Navigate stairs, basements, and other delivery-site conditions as needed.
- Complete approximately 10 to 14 delivery stops per day.
- Maintain a professional and service-focused approach with customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A.
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy items.
