About the Position
Our client is seeking CDL A Drivers for a local touch freight delivery position in Chicopee, Massachusetts. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity delivering store products to retail locations throughout New England.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $30 per hour
- Overtime: Available after 40 hours
- Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
- Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Temp to perm
Job Details
- Route Type: Local
- Freight: Heavy touch freight and store products
- Equipment: Automatic tractors
- Handling: Dock and lift-gate deliveries to retail store back rooms
- Unloading: Pump pallet jack
- Stops: Average of 3 to 4 per day
- Trailers: 1 to 2 per day
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer on local routes throughout New England.
- Deliver freight and store products to retail locations.
- Complete touch freight deliveries to store back rooms.
- Perform dock and lift-gate deliveries.
- Unload freight using a pump pallet jack.
- Complete deliveries safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Valid CDL A license
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
