About the Position
TransForce is seeking a CDL-A Route Driver for a full-time, temp-to-perm position in Edison, New Jersey. This local route position involves transporting eggs to grocery stores and distribution centers throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay rate: $30 per hour
- 40 hours per week
- Monday through Saturday schedule, with drivers working five days per week
- Dispatch times between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.
- Typical workdays are 9 to 12 hours
- Temp-to-perm employment opportunity
Job Details
- Route type: Local
- Freight: Eggs and other palletized products
- Equipment: Tractors with automatic transmissions
- Handling: Heavy-touch deliveries requiring unloading with pallet jacks or rolling racks
- Approximately eight stops per day
- Delivery territory includes New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania
Key Responsibilities
- Haul preloaded trailers containing palletized products to designated delivery locations
- Unload products using pallet jacks or rolling racks
- Complete delivery invoices accurately
- Maintain required paperwork using electronic logs
- Use RF scanners for inventory at select accounts
- Operate equipment safely and professionally while completing assigned routes
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Reefer driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
