About the Position
TransForce is seeking a CDL A truck driver to support local operations in Indianapolis. This part-time position offers reliable scheduling, home-daily routes, and the flexibility to work one, two, or all three available weekend shifts based on your availability.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $34.43 per hour
- Schedule: Friday night through Sunday night
- Shift: Mostly third shift; start times vary
- Hours: 8–10 hours per day
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Part-time and home daily
- Employment Type: Temp-to-perm
Job Details
- Route Type: Local routes north of Indianapolis and to Cincinnati
- Freight: Mail
- Equipment: Automatic and manual transmission tractors with 48- to 53-foot trailers
- Handling: Approximately 90% no-touch freight, with occasional movement of rolling carts from the trailer to postal facility docks
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned local routes.
- Transport mail and complete deliveries to designated facilities.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Secure and handle freight according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs and required transportation documentation.
- Provide professional and dependable service at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
