About the Position
Our client is seeking a dependable CDL A Delivery Driver for a local delivery position in Holtsville, New York. This role offers a flat rate of $275 per day and involves heavy touch freight deliveries to commercial locations throughout the region. The position is temp-to-perm and is expected to begin June 18, 2026.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $275 per day
- Average weekly pay: $1,375
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Start time: Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
- Schedule: Five-day workweek with mandatory Saturdays and one weekday off
- Schedule may be Monday through Friday depending on delivery volumes
- Employment type: Temp-to-perm
Job Details

- Delivery area: Primarily New York, including the boroughs, with potential overflow into New Jersey and Connecticut
- Average stops: 10 to 14 per day
- Average day: 8 to 10 hours
- Freight handling: Unload using a hand cart or pallet jack, including deliveries up and down stairs and into basements
- Delivery locations may include restaurants, hospitals, and schools
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an automatic reefer tractor-trailer
- Complete local deliveries safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Deliver freight to restaurants, hospitals, schools, and other commercial locations
- Unload freight using hand carts and pallet jacks
- Perform physical freight handling, including stair and basement deliveries
- Follow all applicable safety regulations and maintain a professional driving record
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A
- 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- At least 1 year of touch freight experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
