About the Position
Our client is seeking an experienced CDL A Flatbed Driver for a hybrid local and regional route based in Tuscaloosa. This dedicated opportunity offers competitive pay, consistent home time, paid training, and the opportunity to operate new Mack Anthem trucks equipped with modern technology.
Pay & Schedule
- Starting pay of $22.75 per hour, plus overtime
- Estimated weekly earnings of $1,500–$1,800
- $65 per diem when out overnight
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Typical start time around 2:00 a.m.
- Home weekly, with two to three overnight stays per week
- 40 hours per week
- Paid training lasting approximately two to four weeks, depending on experience and training needs

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL A flatbed truck on local and regional routes
- Transport and deliver freight to designated locations
- Perform heavy-touch freight handling as required
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and required transportation documentation
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable transportation regulations
- Provide professional service to customers and yard personnel
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Strong commitment to safety and professional driving practices
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with flatbed and heavy-touch freight operations
