The Opportunity
As the Electrical Field Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day field operations of the electrical department and play a key role in building a team that delivers exceptional service and workmanship.
Your electricians will look to you for technical guidance and support. Your leadership team will rely on you to drive performance and operational results. And our customers will benefit from the quality, professionalism, and service standards you establish across the team.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your field experience, technical expertise, and ability to develop people will make an impact every day.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop the Team
- Lead, coach, develop, and hold electricians accountable for performance, productivity, and results.
- Build a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular coaching and performance conversations to recognize success and address opportunities for improvement.
- Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and development of electrical team members.
- Help identify and develop future leaders and career advancement opportunities within the department.
Drive Field Operations
- Oversee the daily field operations of the electrical department.
- Help ensure technicians have the resources, training, tools, and support needed to perform at a high level.
- Monitor schedules, productivity, job performance, and overall field execution.
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions that improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Partner with other departments and company leaders to achieve business objectives.
Provide Technical Leadership
- Serve as a technical resource for electricians when they encounter complex residential electrical issues.
- Promote consistent adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
- Set the standard for quality workmanship and ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and correctly the first time.
- Help technicians troubleshoot challenging situations and make sound field decisions.
Own Performance & Customer Experience
- Monitor key performance indicators including revenue, productivity, profitability, callbacks, customer satisfaction, and other department metrics.
- Use performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring corrective action.
- Reinforce exceptional customer service and professionalism throughout the customer experience.
- Help drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure team members follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Reinforce safe work practices and address safety concerns promptly.
- Support compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of residential electrical experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate field teams.
- Proven ability to create, lead, and drive teams and projects.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance technical expertise with strong people leadership.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Basic knowledge of ServiceTitan preferred.
