Our family-friendly, patient-focused private dental practice in Placentia, CA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) for a 3-month temporary position covering maternity leave.

Position Details
- Pay: $60/hour
- Position: Part-Time, Temporary
- Reason: Maternity leave coverage
- Start Date: September 10, 2026
- Duration: Approximately 3 months
- Patient Schedule: 1 hour per patient
Schedule
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
1-hour lunch - Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
30-minute lunch
RDH Requirements
- Active California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
- Valid CPR certification
- Laser certification
- Proficient with intraoral cameras
- Knowledge of Dentrix and Dexis software preferred
- Minimum of 2-year work experience
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient care
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Comfortable discussing periodontal needs and recommended restorative treatment
- Team-oriented, reliable, and professional
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal dental hygiene care
- Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP)
- Administer local anesthesia
- Take dental radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Provide periodontal screenings and monitoring
- Apply topical fluoride, sealants, and other preventive materials
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health
- Discuss recommended periodontal treatment and reinforce treatment plans
- Collaborate with the dentist and specialists to provide comprehensive patient care
