Northwest Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Mammographer to join our Breast Imaging team.
This role is responsible for performing high-quality mammography and breast imaging procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and professional environment. The Senior Mammographer will perform mammography exams, stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, ductography procedures, and bone density exams. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining compliance with MQSA and ACR standards.
Responsibilities
Perform ordered breast imaging procedures, including mammography, stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, and bone density exams. Produce high-quality diagnostic images using appropriate patient positioning and imaging techniques. Assist physicians during breast interventional procedures. Maintain proficiency with breast imaging and bone density equipment. Ensure all procedures meet applicable MQSA and ACR requirements and recommendations. Accurately document and transmit patient information and imaging data using computer systems. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
Qualifications Experience: 1-3 years of relevant Mammography experience required.
Education: Associate's Degree required. Licenses & Certifications: Registered Technologist - Mammography required.
Current Maryland Radiographer License or eligibility to obtain licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Schedule:
This is a part-time position working 2-3 days per week on a set schedule.
