What We Offer:
The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
- NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
- Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
- IV Credentialed, required.
- Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement
- Applicable state license, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
What You'll Do:
- MRI Imaging: Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
- Patient Care & Safety: Verify patient information, history, allergies, and MRI screening requirements. Prepare, position, monitor, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Equipment & Imaging: Operate MRI equipment, select appropriate protocols and sequences, administer contrast and perform venipuncture as permitted, and evaluate image quality.
- Documentation: Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records using EMR, RIS, and PACS.
- Teamwork & Professionalism: Respond to emergencies, follow safety and infection-control standards, maintain required credentials and competencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide excellent patient care.
