Position Summary
We're looking for a friendly, go-getter Dental Hygienist who is responsible, self-motivated, and truly personable — someone who takes pride in providing excellent care with a smile. You'll work alongside a supportive team of doctors, hygienists and staff to deliver outstanding preventive care and help our patients achieve lasting oral health. Experience with double hygiene assisting is a plus, as our team works efficiently together to keep patient care moving smoothly throughout the day.
Schedule
- Wednesday - Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
- Conduct periodontal assessments and charting
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with regulations
- Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants
- Identify signs of oral disease and communicate findings to the doctors
- Comfortably support double hygiene assisting to keep the schedule flowing
Patient Education
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Discuss treatment plans and reinforce the doctors' recommendations
- Provide clear, friendly post-treatment care instructions
Clinical Support & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and operatory cleanliness
- Collaborate with the team to ensure an efficient, positive patient experience
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Utah
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to administer local anesthesia
Preferred
- Previous experience in a dental or clinical setting
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft dental software a plus but not required
- Experience with double hygiene assisting and periodontal therapy
