About the Position
Our client is seeking experienced CDL A Intermodal Drivers for local routes transporting rail containers. This long-term flex opportunity offers steady work, evening hours, and no-touch freight. Drivers will be responsible for safe, timely, and professional transportation between rail yards and delivery locations.
Pay & Schedule Details
- Pay: $39 per hour, with earning potential of up to $2,508 per week
- Schedule: Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday
- Hours: 5:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
- Hours per week: 40
- Employment type: Long-term flex
- Anticipated start date: September 21, 2026
Job Details

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A equipment on local routes.
- Pick up and deliver containers at rail yards.
- Perform drop-and-hook operations and securely lock down rail containers.
- Ensure safe, timely, and incident-free transportation.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations.
- Provide positive, safe, and professional customer service.
- Maintain strong communication and rapport with customers.
- Perform required handling tasks in accordance with DOT and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid, current Class A CDL.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Experience handling intermodal containers.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
