Job Summary and Qualification
- Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery.
- Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement.
- Maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.
- Support the mission, vision and values of the organization
- Apply scientific knowledge; use a variety of equipment; and perform multiple technical procedures.
- Proactively advocate for patients and consistency educate patients/family throughout the continuum of care.
- Utilize ability to demonstrate and apply the technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Congenital Heart Experience and/or high-acuity PICU medical-surgical experience preferred.
