The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and assessing needs of patients and formulating treatment plans. Provides therapy services defined in treatment plans, and works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and staff. In addition, the Physical Therapist provides direction to Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides.

What You'll Do
As a Physical Therapist, you will:
- Evaluate and assess patient needs to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide physical therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Supervise and provide direction to Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides/Technicians
- Deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ensure compliance with departmental standards, state practice acts, and Mercy Service Standards
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment
Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification (must be obtained prior to independently caring for patients)
Preferred Experience
- Six months to one year of rehabilitation experience
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients preferred
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Stand and walk for extended periods during each shift
- Frequently bend, kneel, twist, squat, reach, and grip while providing patient care
