Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Bowling Green, KY. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support patients in a Long Term Acute Care Hospital setting, focusing on restoring daily living skills for patients with complex medical and neurological needs. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, and documentation excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Kentucky Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- Experience in outpatient neuro settings preferred; at minimum, completion of a clinical rotation in outpatient neuro is preferred.
- Ability to assess patient function, develop individualized treatment plans, and complete required documentation in accordance with facility policy.
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, OT students, or COTA students preferred.
- BLS certification may be required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Demonstrated competency with safe patient handling, infection control, and other facility safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in long term acute care or similar medically complex environments preferred.
- Experience participating in interdisciplinary team conferences and discharge planning preferred.

- Shift pattern: 5x8 day shifts.

Provide quality rehabilitation services within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include evaluating patient functional levels, planning and implementing individualized treatment, participating in discharge planning and family education, supervising assistants and students as applicable, completing timely documentation, and promoting continuous quality improvement. Follow facility standards for appearance, attendance, and safe practice. Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professional communication with patients, families, and team members.
