You will evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care for speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include treatment planning, documentation, patient and family education, discharge planning, and participation in departmental and professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active SLP state license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required upon hire.
- Experience providing evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice, and dysphagia in an acute care or hospital-based rehab environment preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in documentation of evaluations, plans of care, and treatment sessions according to facility protocols.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.
- Experience with hospital electronic medical record systems preferred.
- FEES certification preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800–1700.
- Shift days include a five-day workweek, 5x8 schedule.
- No call, holiday, or weekend requirements.
