Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Active Georgia SLP license required to start the assignment.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 15–18 months of recent acute care SLP experience preferred by client; prior acute care experience desirable.
- Experience supporting a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive disorders.
- MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior acute care hospital experience supporting patients throughout the hospital.
- Proficiency in dysphagia evaluation and intervention, including instrumental assessments if available.
Assignment Details
- Schedule generally 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (varies).
- 5 shifts per week, 8-hour shifts.
- Must be willing to support acute care patients across hospital units, including ICU and medical/surgical floors.
