Join a skilled nursing facility in Worcester, MA as a traveling Physical Therapist where you will evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and contribute to care planning in a long-term care and rehab setting. Provide evidence-based assessments and interventions such as manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, ambulation training, use of assistive devices, modalities, and wound care. Document clinical progress and regulatory-required information in the electronic medical record, participate in care conferences and utilization reviews, and provide comprehensive discharge summaries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Massachusetts physical therapy license required.
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required; experience in long-term care or inpatient rehabilitation required.
- New graduates considered only if they have completed Level II clinical experience; Level I observation alone is not sufficient.
- Ability to perform standardized assessments, develop and adjust plans of care, and document treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Ability to supervise and support PT assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.
- Adherence to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with wound care and use of DME and assistive devices in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Experience participating in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and interdisciplinary team communication.
Assignment Details
- Shift schedule: 8 hour days, 5 shifts per week.
- Weekend requirement: None.
