Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to support diagnostic imaging at a hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The MRI Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- MRI advanced level certification and state licensure applicable to Wisconsin.
- 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist. Client will accept candidates with 1–2 years’ experience per facility guidelines; 2 years preferred.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with Siemens 1.5T MRI systems or equivalent.
- Ability to perform MRI-guided biopsies and breast biopsies.
- No cardiac pacemaker scanning as a required restriction.
- Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patients and in trauma/acute care hospital settings.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record and Pyxis medication dispensing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Level IV trauma center or acute care hospital environment.
- Experience with MRI protocols for ortho, neuro, GI, and breast imaging.
- Experience functioning independently and as part of a multi-tech MRI team.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 1400–2230.
- 40 hours per week, scheduled as 5x8 shifts.
- One weekday on-call shift per week, 2200–0600.
- Weekend call rotation: every 4th weekend, 1800–0600 unless covered by Weekend Program Tech.
- Orientation: one day facility/unit orientation.
- Support on unit includes transporters, radiology assistant, radiologist, lead or seasoned MRI techs, phlebotomy, RRT, and hospitalists.
