Join a hospital team in Reno, NV as a Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role assisting physicians and cath lab personnel with diagnostic tests and interventional procedures. Operate interventional imaging equipment, produce optimal diagnostic images, and support patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. This role includes first-assist duties, sterile tray setup, circulating, line manipulation, suturing assistance, charting, and quality improvement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T. (R) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab technologist experience in a hospital Cath Lab setting.
- Experience in both cath and EP procedures, including scrubbing and panning the x-ray table.
- Ability to competently operate interventional imaging equipment and related machinery.
- Willingness to float to areas of need within the organization up to competency level.
Preferred Qualifications
- RCIS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
- Prior experience with first-assist duties for interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, or interventional radiology preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift structure: 4x10, rotating schedule, Monday through Friday.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
- Call requirements: one weeknight call and one weekend call shift (Saturday or Sunday) every five weeks.
- May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts. Shift schedule varies based on department needs.
- Travelers may be required to float to support organizational needs up to their competency level.
