Join a hospital outpatient physical therapy team in Chelsea, MA. Provide evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, administer manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, and educate patients and families on goals and home programs. Document progress, adjust treatments to maximize outcomes, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Supervise PTAs according to policy and state regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program. For licensure from 2016 onward, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) required. For licensure prior to 2016, bachelor’s or master’s degree acceptable.
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license required prior to start of assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in hospital, rehabilitation, or ambulatory settings required.
- Experience in orthopedic physical therapy required.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
- Experience completing accurate billing documentation by end of day preferred.
- Experience with quality process improvement initiatives preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 08:00 - 16:30.
- Shift Days: Days.
- Position will start at the Chelsea outpatient location and later transition to a Revere outpatient location during the assignment.
