Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to a hospital in Milwaukee, WI to accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and expertly operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images. This assignment is for a travel MRI Technologist and supports a high-volume imaging department with diverse patient types, including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department cases. Clinical work will include patients with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole-body, and cardiac imaging when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in MRI or ARMRIT.
- State MRI technologist licensure as required by Wisconsin.
- BLS certification.
- 3-5 years' experience in MRI preferred by the facility; must have experience with high-volume scanners and diverse patient populations.
- Required experience with GE and Siemens MRI systems, specifically GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra.
- EPIC charting system experience required.
- Experience with breast MRI and breast MRI biopsy preferred.
- Cardiac MRI experience preferred.
- Experience with imaging patients who have implantable devices, ventilated or sedated patients, oncology and neuro protocols preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a Level II trauma center or large tertiary hospital preferred.
- Prior work with McKesson PACS preferred.
- Experience in high weekly patient census settings (approximately 250-300 patients per week) preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Standard hours per week: 40.
- Weekend rotation: maximum every 3rd weekend.
- Orientation: 3 days of orientation provided.
- Float requirements: None. MRI-only assignment.

As a health professional placed through Jackson HealthPros, you will provide diagnostic imaging services that support high-acuity care. This facility maintains Magnet designation, a Level III NICU, and a primary stroke center, and serves a broad case mix across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. You will work with a lead tech/coordinator and imaging assistants; traveler coverage is supported so the technologist will not work alone.
