Become a vital part of a hospital-based radiology team in Myrtle Beach, SC as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast agents per protocol, and operate CT equipment to produce diagnostic images for a free-standing emergency department setting. You will work independently on shift with responsibility for routine CT and diagnostic x-ray exams and collaborate with ED staff to support timely patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required.
- State radiologic technologist license for South Carolina (SCQRSA) required.
- CT experience and knowledge required. CT certification is preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Proficiency performing routine CT exams and diagnostic x-ray procedures.
- Experience operating GE 64-slice CT equipment preferred.
- Experience working independently in a small or free-standing emergency imaging environment preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in emergency department imaging or free-standing ED settings.
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to variable patient volume.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00–20:00.
- Call requirement: approximately 2 call shifts per month.
- Average exam volume: approximately 10–20 CT exams per shift.
- Equipment: GE 64-slice CT, GE digital x-ray, GE portable x-ray.
