Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist providing home health services in Newton, MA. Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their place of residence who have physical or cognitive impairments resulting from injury, disease, disability, or other causes. Patients may range in age from pediatric to geriatric. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate services. Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources while documenting care using required electronic systems. Travel within the assigned geographic pod is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Minimum one year certified home care OT experience. Client requires two years of experience in acute care, rehab, or homecare as an Occupational Therapist (preferred but may be listed as a client-specific requirement).
- Ability to work with various computer software. Experience with handheld patient care devices preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations.
- Travel within the provider's geographic area is required.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with home health documentation systems.
- Prior experience serving a range of ages from pediatric to geriatric.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00 - 16:30.
- Workdays: Days.
- Travel required within the agency's geographic pod covering surrounding communities in the region.
