Responsibilities include interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results; determining treatment goals and plans; administering manual therapy and therapeutic exercise; instructing and assisting patients in functional activities and use of assistive devices; completing billing documentation by end of day; supervising PTAs per policy and state regulations; participating in quality improvement activities; and evaluating and adjusting treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program. Licensure pathways acceptable: bachelor’s or master’s degree for licensure prior to 2016; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) required for licensure from 2016 onward.
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience as a physical therapist in hospital, rehabilitation, or ambulatory settings required.
- Experience in orthopedic physical therapy required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
- Experience supervising PTAs preferred.

- Shift Hours: 08:00 to 16:30.
- Shift Name: Days.
- Position will start at the Chelsea outpatient location and will transition to a nearby Revere location during the assignment.
