About the Position
Our client is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic in Creola, Alabama. The ideal candidate will supervise 2-3 mechanics and have extensive experience in diesel engine repair and rebuilding.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays required
- Typical Shift: 6 AM to 5 PM
- Overtime: Available after 40 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of 2-3 mechanics
- Perform engine rebuilds and repairs on diesel vehicles
- Ensure safety and compliance with all regulations
Minimum Requirements
- 5-10 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable diesel mechanic experience
- Some management experience required
- CDL preferred but not required
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
