We're hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position where you will use clinical expertise to ensure safe and accurate distribution of medications for adult and geriatric patients. The Pharmacist will collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy to compound and dispense medications, supervise technical support staff, support clinical and quality programs, provide drug information and education to hospital personnel, and ensure compliance with legal and professional pharmacy standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Wyoming Board of Pharmacy (BOP) license required. This must be attached to the submission.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required. This must be attached to the submission.
- Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Competence with adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Experience interpreting medication orders, compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations, and checking technician-prepared products prior to release.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances and to follow aseptic technique and IV preparation protocols.
- Ability to enter a minimum of 40 orders per four-hour shift and generate required pharmacy reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a community hospital setting.
- Experience with pharmacokinetics dosing services, therapeutic drug monitoring, and interpreting levels.
- Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and conducting in-service education for clinical staff.
