We're hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a great facility. Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or successor organization.
- Current state licensure/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in North Carolina required to start the assignment.
- Minimum 6 months of recent occupational therapy assistant experience in home health, outpatient, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings is required.
- Current CPR certification required. BLS from AHA or ARC preferred.
- Basic knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow delegated treatment plans, document clinical notes and progress reports, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning.
- Ability to fabricate/adapt assistive devices and design home program instructions for patients and caregivers.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within an assigned geographic area for home health visits as required by the assignment.
- Preferred: experience with community reintegration activities, home environment adaptations, or vocational/education program support.
