Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy required. Candidate should demonstrate competency in comprehensive evaluations, development of individualized treatment plans, and progress toward functional discharge goals.
- Proficiency with documentation, goal writing, quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and timely charge entry in electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to supervise and delegate discipline-specific tasks and provide clinical education to students when assigned.
- Commitment to professional standards, adherence to state practice act, and maintenance of required continuing education and licensure.
- Preferred: prior experience with safe patient handling programs and familiarity with outpatient therapeutic equipment and modalities.
