Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active New Mexico Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC required prior to start.
- Experience working in an acute care or hospital setting preferred. This includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation experience.
- Client requires therapists to have required certifications prior to start; client may request additional certifications. Refer to LPNT checklist for current requirements. (Preferred items may include stroke care experience, chest pain center familiarity, or other acute care competencies.)
- New Mexico state requirement: All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed. Travelers may begin on a supervised 14-day waiver while awaiting results. Each agency must have an NM Department of Health account and use ORI code NM920160z for background entry.

- Shift days: Monday–Friday.
- Occasional weekend coverage: One weekend day per month only if needed; a flex day during the week will be provided when a weekend day is worked.
