Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
- Active Maine Physical Therapist license is required to start the assignment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience providing physical therapy services in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is required. This includes evaluations, establishment of therapeutic plans of care, and treatment per department protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures under physician or licensed practitioner orders, including setting short- and long-term goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in high-stress situations.
- Client requests therapists who can work within a skilled nursing/long-term care rehabilitation program and partner with nursing staff to maximize patient functional independence. This is a required staffing preference from the client.
- Preferred: prior experience with d'Youville-style skilled nursing populations or familiarity with long-term care rehab documentation systems. Preferred items are not required.
