What You'll Need:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
• AART (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy
• Valid Arizona Radiation Therapy state license, if required
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Radiation Therapist. Client requires demonstrated experience with treatment delivery, treatment planning systems, and routine equipment quality control.
• Experience operating linear accelerators, simulation equipment, and performing patient setup and immobilization according to departmental protocols.
• Ability to perform and document equipment quality control measurements and to follow ALARA/radiation safety practices.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to document treatments and maintain accurate patient records.
Minimum Qualifications (Client Specific)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy required.
• State licensure for Radiation Therapists applicable to Arizona required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical radiation therapy experience required. Previous experience in a hospital-based radiation oncology department preferred.
• Demonstrated competency with linear accelerator operation, simulation, treatment planning workflow, immobilization devices, and patient positioning required.
• Experience performing equipment QA/quality control and troubleshooting required.

Additional Duties:
• Perform radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying referring providers’ orders and departmental policies.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatment plans.
• Operate treatment and treatment planning equipment, prepare and administer prescribed doses, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform prescribed invasive/interventional procedures as required by department protocols.
• Conduct and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoot equipment issues, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Ensure safe receipt, administration, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials following ALARA principles and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to efficient department workflow and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiation oncology, nursing, and medical staff.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous radiation therapy experience in a hospital-based radiation oncology department preferred.
• Additional education or certifications related to radiation therapy or oncology preferred.
