Minimum Requirements

Standard Job Description
Organize and conduct medically prescribed treatment programs for adult and pediatric patients to help restore function and prevent disability according to the principles and practices of physical therapy. Evaluate new patients, set objective measurable treatment goals for functional outcomes, establish appropriate treatment programs, and document interventions. Administer diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests to determine impairment and prognosis. Implement treatment modalities and re-evaluate patients, modifying treatment plans based on progress. Provide objective documentation, patient and family education, and communication with other caregivers. Assist in training new personnel and provide guidance to PT assistants, aides, and affiliating students. Maintain departmental policies, quality assessment programs, safety, and infection control standards. Participate in professional development activities. Maintain daily statistical records of patient activity and charges. Perform other duties as assigned.
