Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Indiana Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC required prior to start.
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience required. This assignment is primarily outpatient with approximately 5–10% inpatient coverage.
- Experience with outpatient orthopedic caseloads preferred; candidate must be comfortable treating primarily orthopedic diagnoses (approximately 70% of outpatient caseload).
- Experience with or ability to use equipment such as Hivamat, therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, BiPAP/respiratory devices, and therapeutic laser preferred.
- Experience using Epic EMR preferred.
- State licensing and credentialing must be current and verifiable prior to start. Candidates must complete any assigned HR education modules prior to first day.
- Preferred: manual therapy skills.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital (Physical Therapy department; outpatient-focused).
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Patient mix: Outpatients (~70% orthopedic); occasional inpatients (med/surg, ICU without ventilators).
- Patient ratio typically 1:1.
- Required certifications: BLS and state PT license.
- Dress code: scrub color charcoal grey; denim not permitted.
- First day reporting: Park on the south side of the outpatient building at 1810 Lafayette Rd. Enter through the front doors. Complete any HR-assigned modules prior to first day.
- Float requirements: None.
