Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral) approved by the APTA.
- Current California Physical Therapist license required by start of contract.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Recent experience in outpatient orthopedics is required.
- Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Word; ability to learn Cerner and other clinical software.
- Interpersonal and analytical skills to instruct patients and prioritize caseload.
- Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
- Preferred: Inpatient/acute care experience. Preferred: additional PT specialties such as pelvic health, vestibular rehab, outpatient neuro rehab, pediatrics, or lymphedema.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital outpatient clinic.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 0800-1830.
- Schedule: 4 days per week.
- On-call requirement: One weekend per month, approximately 0700-0900 each day for inpatient coverage.
- Primary caseload: Primarily outpatient orthopedics, general deconditioning, balance/fall prevention; primarily one-on-one patient care.
- Float requirement: May be required to float to acute care/inpatient as needed.
- EMR: Cerner.
