As a Registered Nurse in the Family Birthing Center, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating the health status of both laboring mothers and neonates. You will collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to establish and implement care plans that prioritize safety and optimal health outcomes. Your role will include patient advocacy, education, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Provide direct patient care and monitor responses during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Promote wellness and provide education to mothers about infant care and breastfeeding
- Document all events and education in the patient medical record
- Communicate patient conditions to physicians and nursing supervisors
- Collaborate with nursery nurses and assist physicians with procedures
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment in the Family Birthing Center
Requirements:
- Maintain current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado
- BLS & NRP certifications required; ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Need 2 years experience in setting
