As a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery, you will play a crucial role in providing and coordinating patient care with the primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within your scope of practice
- Providing education tailored to patient needs
- Transcribing, utilizing, and implementing protocols and physician orders
- Coordinating the healthcare team and delegating tasks to ancillary personnel
- Performing other duties as assigned
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- A current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming, in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if performing circulating or recovery room duties for C-sections
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if caring for pediatric patients
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification for employment on the Family Care Unit
- Completion of Intermediate and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring classes for Labor and Delivery nurses
- Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision and protect confidential information
- Need 1 year experience in setting
