Position: Outpatient Surgical Center Manager
We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and proactive individual to oversee daily operations across our outpatient surgical centers. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting locations in Brooklyn and the Bronx, Monday through Friday.
This position requires a dynamic professional who can effectively balance both administrative oversight and clinical support functions to ensure seamless operations, high-quality patient care, and an efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Administrative Management:
Oversee day-to-day center operations, ensuring efficiency, organization, and compliance with established protocols
Manage front desk functions including patient check-in/check-out, registration accuracy, and overall patient experience
Coordinate scheduling workflows, procedure calendars, and provider availability to optimize utilization
Monitor and maintain supply inventory, including ordering, stocking, and vendor coordination
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and documentation requirements
Assist with reporting, tracking key performance metrics, and communicating updates to leadership
Clinical Support & Patient Flow:
Support clinical staff and providers to ensure smooth patient flow from intake through discharge
Assist with room turnover coordination and maintaining readiness of procedure rooms
Help facilitate pre-op and post-op processes, ensuring all required documentation and preparations are completed
Act as a liaison between clinical and administrative teams to minimize delays and improve efficiency
Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and high standards of care
Staffing & Team Coordination:
Assist with staff scheduling, coverage coordination, and daily workflow adjustments
Provide on-the-ground support to both clinical and administrative staff as needed
Foster clear communication between front desk, clinical teams, and backend operations
Help onboard and train new staff on workflows and operational procedures
Communication & Coordination:
Serve as a key point of contact between on-site teams and backend operations, including billing, credentialing, and leadership
Ensure timely and accurate communication across all departments
Troubleshoot operational issues in real time and implement effective solutions
Qualifications:
Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
Prior experience in an outpatient, surgical center, or medical office setting preferred
Familiarity with clinical workflows, compliance standards, and patient care processes is a plus
