- Shift information: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Type of Clients: Individuals experiencing behavioral health crises / Adults and adolescents (varies based on service line) Clients may present with mental health concerns, substance use concerns, or co-occurring disorders, Will include phone, telehealth, and face-to-face interactions depending on client needs
- Location: Onsite at Central Facility – 3309 South Kingshighway
- Job responsibilities: Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments via phone, telehealth, and in-person, Complete Zero Suicide screenings and assess client needs
- Respond to chats and incoming crisis requests in a timely manner, Complete all documentation within required timeframes (e.g., notes within 72 hours, intakes within 7 business days), Conduct follow-up calls as needed, Coordinate care and referrals when services cannot be provided internally
- MUST HAVE skills for this position: Strong crisis assessment and intervention skills, Ability to complete risk assessments and safety planning, Excellent communication (phone, in-person, and documentation), Time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Ability to multitask across platforms (phone, chat, documentation systems), Knowledge of community resources and referral processes, Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Overview
BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.
Inform, outreach, screen for services, and successfully refer people to the appropriate services within the organization and larger community in a manner that is timely and respectful.

The Clinical Case Manager is responsible for providing case management services to maximize opportunities available to people living in the community who are trying to recover from the catastrophic effects of a serious mental illness.
Responsibilities
Authorizes, coordinates, monitors, and adjusts services with contract providers.Identifies, develops, and maintains good relationships and linkages with a wide range of community resources.Ensures follow through with appointments by assisting clients to keep appointments.Provides collaborative clinical case management services.
